"Junk Mail" Advertising is 98% Inefficient!

These are examples of what you get FREE in the mail, whether you like it or not.

Businesses have to "pay" a hefty fee to advertise in these publications.... so they cannot afford to offer their best deals. For decades, studies show that less than 2% of the billions of coupons distributed this way are redeemed. This means 98% of the coupons wind up in our landfills. Not efficient or a smart way to advertise in our opinion.

The ads are also disorganized, have limited expiration dates and are filled with ads from businesses people hardly ever use or may use once a year, which is how the name "Junk Mail" was arrived at.

Groupon

Groupon charges 30% to 40% to advertise a deal. How it works:
A restaurant offers a deal of $20 worth of food for $10. You buy a "voucher" (coupon) for $10. Groupon keeps 30% or $3 and sends the
restaurant $7.

You redeem the coupon and get $20 worth of food while the restaurant was paid $7 from Groupon. That's a $13 net discount ($20 - $7) for the restaurant. This equals 65% off. With food cost normally around 25% to 30%, the restaurant is basically giving away food and cannot be profitable, especially with also having to pay wages, insurance, taxes, utilities, lease/rent, supplies.

This is why you do not see the number of Local Groupon Deals you use to see when they first came out. The "FAD" wore off and most business owners learned it wasn't a smart way to advertise.

That same business can do a $20 worth of food for $10 coupon in our book. The difference is that when a person redeems our coupon, they pay the restaurant the full $10 at time of use, so the restaurant receives $10 instead of $7 from Groupon.

In addition, Groupon does nothing to help our Local Community while over 50% of KeyCard Deals sales goes to local schools, churches and many other civic groups that benefit our kids and society.

Save Around Coupon Books

Save Around (New York Corporate Offices) prints one-time use coupons. They do NOT have an unlimited use discount card like KeyCard Deals.
